Traveling from London to the endless rolling meadows of the Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm), C & Z share a love rooted in mountain trails. From the first idea to the hidden logistics, I helped plan the surprise proposal, so every detail fell into place.
She said yes through happy tears against the wide alpine backdrop of the Dolomites. The quiet emotion soon gave way to a playful, unscripted engagement session across the high plateau.
About the Alpe di Siusi
The Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm) is the largest high-alpine meadow in Europe, a rolling plateau above Val Gardena with the Sassolungo and the Sciliar on the horizon. Its gentle paths and scattered wooden huts make it one of the easiest places in the Dolomites for a proposal: no steep climbs, open views in every direction. The road up is closed to most private cars during the day, so we usually plan the cable car from Siusi into the timing. Early morning and the last hour before sunset give the softest light across the meadows. More proposal and elopement spots.
